out of the blue

From this;
To this;
For this;

You are probably sick to the back teeth of me drawing school desks, I know I am. But, I thought I'd share this with you. I was invited to contribute to this Urban Art exhibition by creating a piece of work on a piece of cardboard. It's all in aid of Cardboardshelter, a charity that raises funds for The Big Issue.
Drawing on cardboard was something of a revelation to me. I have only ever drawn on white or cream paper before. I loved using the brownish background, it has opened up host of possibilities, and is something I will do more of.
Oh, this is my 300th post! Surely, that can't be right?

Oh wow, Andrea, that is too cool!!! And look, you're the only person identified by (full) name on the poster. Wow, you must be famous now ! (You already are on Flickr, of course! :).

300 posts? Congratulations! I love this drawing - love the doodling, love the legs and it's on cardboard - even more brilliant! Wish I could go to that exhibition. It sounds cooool. I'm sure your work will go down a storm.

This is brilliant. An extension of the 'found pen' approach applying it to a piece of cardboard and creating magic. For me this is true art. Keep doing these things!

Cardboard, eh? I like the dark ground, too. Congrats on being chosen to participate in a good cause. The former school teacher in me hopes you aren't defacing desks anywhere, though your drawing is fascinating.

Thanks, everyone.

I can't quite believe that this is the 3ooth post. Quite unbelievable. I'm not sure that I'd ever got to 300 if it wasn't for the support and encouragemnet that I get from all you guys. Now I know that I'll be drawing forever. Thank you ALL.

Another great picture - love the socks! You've got such a way with detail.

I do a lot of acrylic work on cardboard actually - I love the way it grabs the paint. It's a wonder I don't have a ton of backless sketchbooks around. Oh hang on, I do...
